Upcoming Events

HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS - will meet today at 5 p.m. 

8 WEEK CHALLENGE - get your health back on track by       exercising with Dilcia every Sunday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in   the church fellowship hall.  Weight management meal plans, exercise tips, free blood pressure and weight screening.

PRAYER MEETING—will continue this Wednesday at 7 p.m.  We will continue our study of Matthew 17,18.  Everyone is welcome to come join us.       

 Service Opportunities

FOOD DRIVE—there is a food basket located in the foyer for nonperishable food donations to benefit the ACTS 9 Center.

 

Prayer and Praise

PRAYER REQUESTS—may be placed in the prayer box in the foyer.  These requests will be prayed for by the church staff.

ALTAR FLOWERS - today are given in honor of Doug and Ginger Sayles wedding anniversary.

BABY SHOWER - Sunday, Dec. 2, at 2:30 p.m. for Kemily Lawrence in the church fellowship hall.  Everyone is welcome.

HVA SENIOR CLASS PLAY - The annual HVA Senior Play and Silent Auction will be Saturday, Dec. 1, at 7:30 p.m.  The graduating class will be presenting “The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood” and they would love to see you come support their class, and find some great deals on local goods.  Doors will open at 7 p.m.

COMMUNITY BLOOD DRIVE - Do you want to save someone’s life?       HVA will be hosting their annual Community Blood Drive on the       afternoon of Wednesday, Dec. 5.  While walk-ins are allowed,   preference is given to those who sign up in advance.  Please contact     April Lutz at

HOLIDAY FLOWERS - Help decorate our church for the holidays by sponsoring a poinsettia.  Please let Charlotte know as she needs to place her order very soon. 

 

GENUINE MINISTRY - It is genuine ministry for you to be present at church.  You need worship, Bible study and other activities because your Christian life needs constant attention, nurture, and support.  The next time you are tempted to say, “I won’t go today.  Or “What difference does it make whether I’m at church or not?”  Remember, just being here is a ministry.
